The GriefCare Place Open House Set for Aug. 20

Grief is often a solo experience. After all, no one’s grief journey is the same.

But did you know that in nearby Stow in Summit County, The GriefCare Place is celebrating its 25th year of providing free peer-led grief support groups and services?

The open house will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at their facility, 4499 Darrow Road in Stow.

“Countless times we have been told that our facility has a home-like feel, and we invite
everyone to return home to reconnect and celebrate with us,” said Executive Director Becky Costello Bulgrin.

“There will be no registration or cost to attend our open house silver anniversary celebration. We are
grateful to have achieved this milestone and want everyone associated with The GriefCare Place
whether in the past, or now, to celebrate with us.”

Adds program manager Kathi Kazmer, “People from all walks of life have received our services and many individuals and organizations have provided their time and financial support. Like a three-legged stool, all are vital to our success: grievers, volunteers and supporters. We invite everyone to this special time of reunion and celebration: connecting, reconnecting, and honoring our founder, Lou-Ann Redmon and her
husband Bruce.”

Sponsorships are available at levels ranging from $125 to $5,025. For more information, call
330-688-1750 or email [email protected].

Since 1997, The GriefCare Place has been recognized as a pioneer and leading provider of
free, peer-led grief support programming and services in Northeast Ohio. Over 15,000 men, women
and children have been served since its inception. In 2021, 193 individuals attended 136 on site grief
support group meetings and programs.
