Mike Olszewski is a veteran Cleveland TV and radio reporter who has won many local and national journalism awards. A local broadcast-history buff, he scored the famous last interview with Ernie Anderson, Ghoulardi himself. Mike and Janice Olszewski are authors of the recently published “Smoky, Sweaty, Rowdy and Loud: Tales of Cleveland’s Legendary Rock and Roll Landmarks.” He’s a columnist for Northeast Ohio Boomer magazine.

Dan O’Shannon is an award-winning television writer and producer from Euclid and Painesville. As a writer and producer, he has made significant contributions to some of the most acclaimed network comedies of the past 25 years. He is most known for his work on TV shows “Modern Family,” “Frasier,” “Cheers” and “Newhart.” O’Shannon has won six Emmy Awards for his TV work over the past 25+ years (five for “Modern Family” and one for “Cheers”). He has also received several Golden Globe Awards.

His other writing, producing and creative consulting credits include “The King of Queens,” “Suddenly Susan,” “It’s a Living,” “Newhart” and “The Boys.” Aside from television writing (since 1985), he is the author of two books, “The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus” published by Harper-Collins (2014) and “What Are You Laughing At? A Comprehensive Guide to the Comedic Event,” published in 2012.

Most recently, he has consulted on the TV series “B Positive” (2020), “Superior Donuts” (2018), and “The Odd Couple” (2015).

The goal of the Cleveland Stories Dinner Party is to bring to life some of the fun, interesting stories about Cleveland’s past – from sports, to rock ‘n roll, to Millionaire’s Row. The series will focus on tidbits from Cleveland’s past that will thrill the audience. The Music Box is presenting this series in partnership with the Western Reserve Historical Society’s new Cleveland History Center, a relatively unknown gem. It is the only museum in Cleveland dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Cleveland. The Cleveland History Center includes two mansions, the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum, Chisholm Halle Costume Wing, Research Library, Kidzibits Hands-On Gallery, rotating exhibitions, and the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.
