Editorial Guidelines

Editorial Guidelines
Northeast Ohio Thrive magazine is the local, go-to resource so you can “Thrive After 55.” We bring local issues and stories to our readers, including topics on health, education, arts, home/housing, community features and things to do. We do accept freelance writer queries or submissions. While we prefer local writers, we would consider others outside the region on a limited basis.

General Guidelines
We want stories to have sources with local connections to the community. This requires citing a minimum of three regional voices, whether it’s residents, experts, local business professionals, etc. Please read our publication before submitting a story or pitch. Word counts typically range from 500 to 1,200 words. Fees vary, depending on length and type of story. We do not pay kill fees.

Rights
Our policy is to buy one-time exclusive print rights, along with electronic rights to allow stories to be placed on our website, northeastohiothrive.com. We do consider reprinted articles outside our region.
