About Us

Welcome to Northeast Ohio Thrive—a lifestyle magazine dedicated to helping our Northeast Ohio readers thrive after 55.

Northeast Ohio Thrive is published by Mitchell Media LLC in Hudson, Ohio by an exceptionally talented and passionate team of local media professionals. Our guiding principle, “Thrive After 55,” celebrates this region as a positive place to age successfully in the second half of life.

NEO Thrive is both refreshingly real and regionally rooted. Our editorial content is entirely locally-owned, published, produced, sourced and generated. The magazine provides objective, local and positive content focused 100 percent on the needs and wants of those 55 and older living in Northeast Ohio. We discuss health, wellness, culture, entertainment, recreation, education, technology, travel, events, relationships, legalities, finances, insurance and much more.

Northeast Ohio Thrive launched in the spring 2025 as a natural evolution of Northeast Ohio Boomer & Beyond (later Northeast Ohio Boomer) magazine, which was published under the Boomer name for 9 years. Boomer evolved from Aging Answers, a supplement within Northeast Ohio Parent, showcasing the importance of caregiving for aging loved ones. Our flagship publication, Northeast Ohio Parent was founded in March 2014 as a topical monthly magazine for parents and families in the Greater Cleveland/Akron region.

Thrive is published four times a year: Spring (March), Summer (June), Fall (September) and Holiday (November). It is available—free—at more than 700 locations including Discount Drug Mart, Giant Eagle, Marc’s stores, medical offices, libraries, senior centers, rec centers/fitness facilities, salons and other key locations around town. You can also sign up to receive the magazine’s digital edition and e-newsletter (The Beat) delivered directly to your email inbox.

We fulfill our mission by providing better community through heightened connectivity. Our print and digital magazines — along with The Beat e-newsletter and our Facebook page — highlight the vast opportunities and tremendous diversity to be found in and around Northeast Ohio. We also connect our community of readers, followers and fans with area businesses, services and organizations through a wide range of relevant, informative and entertaining events we help sponsor throughout the region. Stay vibrant and age successfully, thriving at every stage. Thrive inspires and motivates you to do just that.

NEO Thrive magazine is an award-winning member of the North American Mature Publishers Association and The Press Club of Cleveland.
