There’s a reason Aretha Franklin’s name is turning up in your social media feeds and entertainment news lately. A new biopic featuring the music legend has just been released in theaters, and it features another up-and-coming legend: Jennifer Hudson.
“Respect” is showing everywhere right now, but if you need a bigger dose of everything Aretha, then head over to the Rock Hall and go to its website to see a Rock Hall interview with Hudson, Aretha artifacts and video of the legend performing “Chain of Fools” with Annie Lennox at the Rock Hall’s 25th Anniversary Concert.
Aretha was the first woman inducted into the Hall of Fame. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones inducted her in 1987.
While you’re at the Rock Hall and on its website be sure to check out its ongoing special exhibits including “It’s Been Said All Along.”
Divided into three sections, Voices of Rage, Hope & Empowerment mirrors the museum’s physical exhibition, and allows visitors to go deeper into the stories, artifacts and music that promote real change.
