FARMERS MARKET SUCCESS FOR SENIORS
Adapting to a new “normal” for events this summer, Western Reserve Hospital Senior Coalition came together and hosted a drive-thru Farmers’ Market for Seniors at Continuing Healthcare of Cuyahoga Falls.
Participants received a bag of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as hand sanitizer and information from Senior Coalition members. Fifteen facilities and 54 seniors took part in the event.
ENCOURAGING SAFE BUSINESS
Western Reserve Hospital has provided local shops, restaurants and service firms with comprehensive Safe Dining, Safe Shopping and Safe Service Pledge booklets detailing safety instructions recommended to ensure a clean establishment for customers and employees. The initiative was launched to boost consumer confidence and create the safest environments for the community.
Booklets provided to business owners advise best practices for physical distancing, cleaning, disinfection, staff health screenings, hand-washing techniques and proper face mask usage following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the Ohio Department of Health. Once the local establishments review the pledge specific to their business and implement all health recommendations, they are given signage to post within their business to inform the public they have been educated on and are committed to taking the steps necessary to provide a safe environment for all.
