Come See the Monarchs with Lake Metroparks

How do monarch butterflies cross Lake Erie on their migration to Mexico and what do they do when they get here?

Learn the answer to those and other questions at a special event sponsored by Lake Metroparks.

The Lake Erie Bluffs are homes and stomping grounds for hundreds of birds, reptiles and insects. But did you know that it’s a resting spot for monarch butterflies, too?

Head to the bluffs on Aug. 18 for a free event from 1-4 p.m. Registration is required. Trail cart tours, guided hikes and exhibits will be part of the afternoon’s events.

The bluffs are located at 3301 Lake Road in Perry Township. Park at the Lane Road entrance. REGISTER FOR EVENT
