What Did You Do This Summer?

Now that summer is winding down, it’s fun to do a look back at how our readers spent the past few months. Boomer asked readers what they liked best about summer in Northeast Ohio. Here are some of their answers:

  • All the ethnic, neighborhood and county festivals and the great Metroparks activities. Most important? Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River.
  • Art festivals and free music everywhere
  • Being able to dine outdoors. Having beautiful flower gardens and arboretums to stroll through. Having a great lake to get cool breezes from, and watch and/or ride the boats’ cruises
  • Grandchildren!
  • Home-grown sweet corn and tomatoes
  • It isn’t winter
  • Going to wineries
  • Farmers markets
  • My yard and neighborhood walks
  • Porches
  • Riding on Downtown Water Front Good Times II Dinner Boats, 4th Street and Kelly’s Island, Put-In-Pay, Oh Wow Old Boats, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Public Library, Baseball Games
  • The weather
