September Blues – The Good Kind – at Blues Fest Cleveland

Taste CLE in conjunction with the City of Twinsburg and Little Fish Records is hosting Blues Fest Cleveland Saturday, September 15 at the Perici Amphitheatre (aka “Rock the Park”), 10260 Ravenna Rd., in Twinsburg.

With music playing from  4-11 p.m., the fest will feature some of the region’s top blues-rock groups. Various ticket options are available, starting with $20/Advance-General Admission, $25 Late Registration/Day of Show as well as upgraded tickets options which include Bourbon Barrel Aged Wine & Beer Tasting.

Food trucks will also be available all throughout the show. For a complete list of vendors, beer and wine tasting selections, and corresponding ticket prices, go to  tastecle.com/event-pro/blues-fest-cleveland-2018.

Headlining the music lineup will be Armstrong-Bearcats, Cleveland’s premier Blues-Rock power trio featuring veteran guitar ace Butch Armstrong. The group has come to define the “Cleveland Blues” sound, mixing explosive rhythms with screaming guitar work and an energizing stage presence. They know how to make a trio work, playing off each other with mind-boggling precision. They’ve opened for some of the top national blues acts out there, including the Allman Brothers, George Thoroughgood & the Destroyers, Little Feat, Johnny Winter, Blue Oyster Cult, Southside Johnny, Robin Trower, and Tower of Power. For more information on the band, go to armstrongbearcatband.com/Video.

Also on the bill are one of Akron’s top Blues-Rock acts, The Mighty Smithtones, featuring DENZON on vocals. The band has a strong stage presence to complement the rough and tumble sound, complete with edgy guitar riffs and a cutting harmonica that slices through the groove. They’ve recently headlined at Riverfront Stadium in Cuyahoga Falls, The Canton Blues Fest, and Tangier’s (with the Walking Clampetts).

One of Cleveland’s favorite blues guitarists – Frankie Starr will be opening up the show along with the Real Deal Blues Band, followed by Larry Insana, and then-newcomer – Natalie Stamper and One Show Highway.

About the Venue: Tucked away in Twinsburg, Perici Amphitheatre offers an exceptional atmosphere viewed as a hidden gem among Northeast Ohio venues and plays host to Twinsburg’s Rock the Park concert series throughout the summer.
