The Social Security Administration recently updated its website's homepage with a new design to help you find what you need more easily. SSA.gov is visited by over 180 million people per year; an important tool for providing efficient and equitable access to service.

All pet owners can benefit from thinking about who would take their furry friends in if they died or became unable to care for them. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as putting a written note in with your important estate documents. Ideally, you should also have a conversation with that person to confirm their willingness to adopt your pet(s).

Many adult children of elderly parents struggle with “the promise” they have made: To never put them in a nursing home. Trying to keep a senior at home is commendable, but if things become unsafe and unsustainable for both of you, it is time to accept these changes. It is time to honor the goal of always caring for them and doing your best, making a difficult decision to ensure your loved one is properly cared for. That’s exactly what being a good caregiver is all about. 

Where else can your family play shuffleboard, visit an art show, listen to a live concert, walk Ohio’s Most Beautiful Mile, take in a view of the Lake Erie Islands, experience an engaging lecture, listen to a preacher and take a tennis lesson all in the same day?

An outlet is often an extension of who you are. It’s part of how you turn what you love into what you do. It fits with a healthy lifestyle like exercise and good diet. An outlet is important when working full time as it can provide release from the tensions of work. It may be more important in retirement when people have more time on their hands.
