WITAN (Women In Touch with Akron’s Needs) is hosting its 42nd French Market on February 22 and 23 at St. George Fellowship Centre, 3204 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn. This annual juried artisan show features:
- More than 60 phenomenal juried artists and craftsmen offering unique gifts, clothing, jewelry, artwork and home decor
- Delicious lunch on Friday from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM and Saturday 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Scrumptious home-baked goods with freshly brewed coffee at the French Roast Café all day
- Exceptional raffle items
French Market hours are Friday, February 22 from 11 AM to 8 PM; featuring a Happy Hour from 5 PM – 7 PM and Saturday, February 23 from 10 AM to 3 PM. There is free parking on the grounds and free shuttle service to and from our overflow lot. Admission is $6 at the door, lunch and happy hour available for an additional charge.
The proceeds raised from WITAN’s French Market are returned to the Greater Akron community through the organization’s community grants program, which assists local nonprofits. WITAN is celebrating its 76th anniversary this year and the charitable organization is acknowledging its strong record of fundraising and community volunteerism in the community.
WITAN, Women In Touch with Akron’s Needs, is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging volunteer service, raising funds to support charitable community projects and educating members on civic responsibility. Primary fundraisers are The French Market, an artisan show held in February, and The Imagine Ball, a gala event that takes place in April. Since its inception in 1943, WITAN has provided nearly $3 million in charitable community grants and its members have contributed 1 million hours of charitable volunteer service.
