Seniors and retirees looking for a fun way to continue learning while socializing with other seniors should consider the Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) at Baldwin Wallace University. This program promotes lifelong learning among seniors by providing college-level courses without exams or credits.
For November only, ILR membership has been discounted to $10, half off the regular membership fee for the remainder of the 2021/2022 school year. The Winter term runs for six weeks with a mix of virtual classes via Zoom and in-person instruction at venues in Berea, Middleburg Heights and other nearby communities. Each class is only $15! See the ILR catalog of classes that includes topics such as the arts, music, current events, literature, history, science and more. Courses are taught by former professors, teachers and professionals from the Greater Cleveland area, as well as people who are experts in their particular subject matter or field of interest.
