America’s Most Accessible National Parks

If you want to see our nation’s most beautiful places, but you have difficulty walking or can’t walk far,  you may be interested in a recent ranking of America’s most accessible national parks.

From canyons to reefs, mountains to hot springs, the list covers a wide range of parks throughout the nation. And one that made the Top 10 list should be familiar to Northeast Ohio residents: Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The list was compiled AgingInPlace.org, an online website that provides support for people who want to remain in their homes and communities as they age. Considered how easily people with limited mobility can see the parks’ most impressive features either by car or on paved trails. Nearby restaurants and other amenities that are wheelchair accessible also figure into the rankings.
