Discuss the barriers women in science continue to face and how we can encourage diversity in STEM fields. Presented by Central Michigan University: Museum of Cultural and Natural History.

Participants will be introduced to female scientists like late-blooming Rachel Holloway Lloyd, rulebreaker Marie Curie, Mildred Cohn, and Gerty Cori (both fought gender AND religious prejudice) and current inventors like Paula Hammond.
We will discuss the characteristics of these successful women, the barriers women in science continue to face, and how we can encourage diversity in STEM fields!
