Any time is a good time to cozy up to a good book, but there’s something about winter that’s especially appealing for readers. The nights are long, the days are raw and the holidays are in the rearview mirror.
If you’re looking for something to read, why not look back to 2023 for suggestions? Cuyahoga County Public Library’s list of most popular books last year reminds us of how much good literature exists out there. The library loaned its 3 millionth ebook last year, showing that the convenience of downloading and returning books is growing in popularity.
To recap, the most borrowed fiction book was “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. Topping the list in non-fiction was “Spare,” Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography.
Heading the list of ebook borrowing was “Happy Place” by Emily Henry. “Spare” was the No. 1 nonfiction ebook.
