Community Hero Day at Maltz Museum on Sunday, July 14

- in Relationships, Things to do

Community Hero Day, a family event, is on Sunday, July 14, 1:30-3 p.m. at the Maltz Museum. Celebrate Community Heroes like Beachwood Firefighters and their truck (plus get your own hat!), police officers and their car, WAGS helping animals, Kids Book Bank collecting books for kids (bring a book to donate), and so many others coming together to celebrate the strength of the everyday heroes in our community.

At 1:45 p.m., meet in the Everyday Heroes Activity Center to hear from local kid heroes featured in the gallery: Ella Tryon, age 9, who collects crayons for sick kids in hospitals and Reggie Fields, age 12, who opened his own lawn mowing business.

Play in the activity center with books, take a self-guided kids story tour in the main gallery, and participate in hero-themed crafts and hands-on activities. Plus, enjoy light snacks. Only $5 general admission; Free for kids under 5 and Museum Members. Register here: http://www.maltzmuseum.org/event/discount-family-fun-day-community-hero-day/
