Chill Out at the Medina Ice Festival

Chill Out at the Medina Ice Festival

Here’s something that might make you like winter: Medina’s Ice Festival at the picturesque and historic Medina Square Feb. 17-20.

Elegant Ice Creations’ 29th Annual Medina Ice Festival will feature more than 120 sculptures in and around the square and the South Town District. During evening hours and overnight, sculptures are highlighted by color-changing LED lights.
The event is free to attend and open to everyone. Pets on leashes are allowed, at your own risk.

On Friday, Speed Carvings will take place at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of the Fire & Ice Tower at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Individual Ice Carvings Competitions will take place and the hundreds of carvings will be on display throughout the Square the entire weekend. On Sunday, Team Ice Carving Competitions will take place.

Uptown Medina is home to over 50 shops and 35 restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and snack shops, the majority of which are financial sponsors of the event. There are over 1,000 free public parking spaces in and around the Districts.

The Medina Ice Festival is the largest in Northeast Ohio.
