Aging with Pets
By Dr. Anna M. van Heeckeren

Hi there,

I founded One Health Organization to help pets and their parents stay healthy, safe, and together. In the course of that work, I’ve seen pet parents face many of the same challenges, whether they’re new to the role or have years of experience.

That’s why we’ve published A Pet Parent’s Guide to Caring For Your Dog or Cat.

This free, 12-page guide will help you:

  • Choose the right pet for you and your home
  • Make decisions about where to get your pet
  • Meet your pet’s veterinary care needs
  • Adapt your home for the best life with your pet

Pet parenting isn’t always easy. If you have questions or challenges, you’re not alone! Keep this Pet Parent’s Guide by your side as you do your best to provide a safe and healthy life for your pet. Download it here.

Warmest regards,
Anna-New-Signature2-3

If you plan on traveling with a pet in the U.S. or internationally, you’ll need to do some careful planning to ensure the experience is pleasant for all involved. Even if you think it’s a great idea to bring one or more of your pets, consider all the What Ifs. Many pets find travel stressful, which can be bad for their health. So if it’s more for your preference rather than a need, it might be best to leave them behind. Otherwise, there are lots of details to know beforehand, as not all destinations welcome animal companions.
