The Greater Cleveland Aquarium’s Adult Swim after-hours tasting series is returning for its 5th year.
At every Adult Swim guests mix and mingle among the sharks, stingrays and sea cucumbers (without getting wet) while sampling a variety of adult beverages.
Over the course of five 2018 tastings, the Aquarium will feature an array of wines, whiskey/bourbons, local brews, and Christmas ales and ciders.
“We switch up our focus throughout the year both to be seasonally appropriate and to accommodate guests’ differing palates,” says Aquarium Artistic Production Coordinator, Amber Walden. “Because it is happening so close to Valentine’s Day our next Adult Swim—Friday, February 9, 7 – 10 pm—highlights winter wines and chocolates from Kit’s Confections, Nina Lau’Rens Cakeballs & Cakepops and Sweet Bean that pair well together.”
But drink selections are not the only thing motivating event-goers. “For the past few years one of our most-anticipated Adult Swim evenings is the one we hold in partnership with the Cleveland Animal Protective League,” explains Walden. “Guests can donate to APL and meet cats and dogs in need of forever homes.”
Adult Swim admission is $40 ($30 for Greater Cleveland Aquarium Passholders) and includes light appetizers, 20 tasting tickets and a souvenir tasting glass. Guests are encouraged to purchase early at greaterclevelandaquarium.com as the event has a history of selling out early.
