Hot Weather, Great Hikes

Who wants to sit in air conditioning all day when the temperatures and humidity climb?

Truthfully, most of us. But staying indoors is a predictable and, dare we say, cowardly way to battle these steamy summer weeks.

Here’s an idea from Cleveland Metroparks: take a cool hike. Wooded trails, creekside rambles and ledge-lined walkways are reliable heat-busters this time of year. Plus, a hike is a good way to clear your head and loosen up those tight joints.

Have we made a case yet for hot weather hikes? Hikes recommended by the Cleveland Metroparks folks sample some of the park system’s most picturesque reservations including trails at Hinckley’s Worden’s Ledges, West Creek Reservation and Bradley Woods.
