A representative from the American Red Cross will discuss the facts and history of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), also known in military circles as the Law of Armed Conflict. Topics include definition and history of IHL; the difference between war and armed conflict; types of armed conflicts; principles of IHL; and who and what is protected under IHL. This information will be delivered in a strictly neutral manner, as the American Red Cross does not take sides in any controversy or conflict.
