Shark myths and movies fuel our imaginations, but we’ll explore why there’s much more to revere than fear about the fin-tastic creatures.

Greater Cleveland Aquarium is putting the spotlight on sharks to build a broader appreciation for the diversity, importance and plight of these JAWsome animals during Fin Fest, a celebration of sharks.

Fin Fest includes the opportunity to spot four species of shark (brownbanded, sandbar, sandtiger and nurse), a four-page shark activity book, daily shark discovery cart trivia, appearances by Aquarium mascot Finn, scuba diver shark talks, aquarist shark feedings, daily stingray feeds and crafts and experiments with community partners.

Guests who come dressed in shark gear (shirt, shorts, socks, tie or hat) will be entered to win a $125 Gift Shop gift certificate. Unless otherwise noted, all activities are included with general Aquarium admission ($0 – 19.95).
