A program that provides computer tablets and one-on-one assistance to use them is this year’s charitable beneficiary of Boomer Bash West on Thursday, April 28, 4-7 p.m. at Crocker Park’s Market Square in Westlake, co-sponsored by The Normandy Senior Living.
Simply Virtual was formed in October 2020 by Northeast Ohio resident Tom Hlavin as a way to connect Cleveland-area older adults with technology. Forming partnerships with senior communities, foundations, corporations and others, Simply Virtual has distributed hundreds of tablets and donated many more hours of free tech support to older adults. Northeast Ohio Boomer magazine chose Hlavin as its Boomer Impact Award 2021 winner. We’re proud to donate all proceeds from the Boomer Bash West grand-prize raffle drawing to his non-profit organization, Simply Virtual.
At this year’s raffle, there will be one grand prize, so all the raffle tickets will go into one big basket and then one big winner gets it all! There will be gift cards from Amazon, VISA, plus gas cards, a digital tablet, a grill and several gift baskets.
