We’ve Got a Bone to Pick – and It’s at the Berea National Cook-Off

Dry Rub or Sauce?

Either one is perfect, and you’ll have a chance to decide your favorite at one of the area’s messiest and most delicious festivals – the Berea National Rib Cook-Off.

It’s been 20 years since the folks in Berea have been serving ribs. The 20th Annual Berea’s National Rib Cook-Off coordinated by the Berea City Club has raised nearly $1 million for local groups and events. The ribs are good, too.

The Cook-Off begins at noon May 25 and extends through Memorial Day Weekend, wrapping up at 7 p.m. Monday at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Music, entertainment and food (in addition to those great ribs) all are on the menu. This year, 14 teams from the United States and Canada are vying for rib and sauce bragging rights. Judge for yourself. Visit BereaRib.com for more information.
