Over nearly 10 years as editor of Northeast Ohio Boomer (soon to become “Thrive” in 2025), readers consistently ask for more stories about two topics: dating and making friends.
We’ve tackled both throughout the years, but now we’re doing something specific to help people connect through common interests. Starting on our website in January, with Thrive’s spring issue in March, you’ll find a directory of clubs and organizations throughout our seven-county readership area. As a reminder, our magazine covers Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Summit, Portage and Lorain counties.
So, what does that mean for you? If you belong to a group that’s looking for new members, we want to know about it and share the information with our readers. All you need to do is send an email to [email protected] with “Club” written in the subject line. Include the name of the organization, a brief description, the city or county where it’s based, a website if applicable and an email and phone number of who to contact for more information.
Meeting people when you’re 55 and older can be a tricky business. Our goal here at Boomer/Thrive is to make it easier for you.
Thanks,
Marie Elium
