Most older persons with long-term care needs (65 percent) rely exclusively on family and friends to provide assistance. Nearly one in three family caregivers caring for seniors are themselves age 65 or older. Most are women.

Jennifer Beach established her practice Advocate for Elders in Rocky River in 2010. She’s a licensed Social worker and an Advanced Aging Life Care professional. She also is the author of our magazine’s Caregiving corner and has a blog on our website northeasstohioboomer.com

Next Half, Best Half is sponsored, in part, by Greater Cleveland Volunteers.
