One Veteran’s PTSD Journey Program Offered through Entrust Program in Geauga County

What does it truly mean to serve others? How do we support one another through life’s journey? What does it take to make a difference and positively impact the lives of those we love?

The executive leadership group of the Ohman Family Communities asked themselves these very questions and Entrust, a series of events designed to equip, empower, and enlighten the community, was born.

Through three generations, the Ohman family have been serving others, offering rehabilitation and senior living services on the campuses of Blossom, Briar, and Holly Hill in Geauga County. Their very first patient, back in 1965, was a veteran, and Briar Hill in Middlefield is honored to hold a contract with the US Department of Veterans Affairs to provide health care to qualifying veterans.

On average, 20 veterans die each day in our country by suicide. Briar Hill is proud to partner with other leaders in the area as we stand by our veterans, be a part of the solution to this national public health issue, and prevent any family from facing further tragedy. You are cordially invited to join together at Briar Hill for the next Entrust event, an evening’s discussion entitled “One Veteran’s Journey Through PTSD.”

The evening’s discussion will include an inspirational story from Mike Blair, the President of the Geauga County Veterans Commission. Mike will share his journey in a panel discussion, defining the issue and suggesting strategies to overcome the challenges many face.

Join them on Tuesday, February 20 at 6 p.m. You may register for the event at entrust-ptsd.eventbrite.com. For other resources, visit veteranscrisisline.net/BeThereSupport.
