More on Dating: An Interview with Editor Marie Elium

What does a 64-year-old married for 38 years know about dating as an older adult?
That’s a good question. My dating life has been drastically limited since my wedding in 1986. But as editor of Northeast Ohio Boomer magazine, I’ve had a chance to talk to a lot of people about dating after 55. We ran a cover story on the subject in our March/April issue. Dating is one of our most-requested topics.
That story prompted an invitation from Northeast Ohio radio host Harriet Tramer. Her show “Aging Without Wrinkles” is broadcast over artistfirst.com, internet radio. We had an interesting and wide-ranging conversation about first-date dos and don’ts, why dating as an older adult can be embarrassing for some folks, and how it can be easier than dating in your 20s and 30s. We even circled to “The Golden Bachelor” TV show. Spoiler alert: Harriet pegged the guy as a bit kooky right from the start.
I hope you’ll tune in and listen to Harriet’s interview.
