Independence Kiwanis Golf Outing Supports Children of Fallen Veterans

Here’s an opportunity to play golf and raise money for a great cause: the Independence Kiwanis golf outing that benefits Children of Fallen Patriots.

The annual event is set for Friday, Aug. 15 at Briarwood Golf Club, 2737 W. Edgerton Road in Broadview Heights. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

Proceeds pay for scholarships and services for children of fallen veterans. Over the past several years, the Kiwanis Club of Independence has raised over $200,000 for scholarships for the Children of Fallen Patriots.

Golfer registration is now open. The cost is $150 per golfer and includes:

  • Raffles, baskets, 50/50, sideboards & more
  • Continental breakfast, lunch, 18 holes of golf, golf cart, appreciation gift, drink cart
  • Dinner from Mission BBQ
  • Car for a hole-in-one provided by Ken Ganley Hyundai
