Boomer Bash Lake is coming soon! The theme is Rad ’80s, so pull out those daring colors and patterns from yesteryear for a chance to win a prize in our Best-Dressed Contest. We will have three categories for your chance to win a $50 gift card. One vendor, one male attendee and one female attendee will be among the winners.
Toss aside today’s beige, subtle style choices and return for a day to the colorful fashion statements of the 1980s, when big and bodacious was always better. From women’s shoulder pads, power suits, big hair-dos, bold accessories, and pointy- toed shoes with spiked heels to men’s power suits, tracksuits, preppy polo shirts with popped collars and knit sweaters thrown over the shoulders—all with eye-popping colors and patterns—there was nothing understated about fashion in the eighties. Cowabunga, Dude!
Presented by Northeast Ohio Boomer, Boomer Bash Lake is coming to Mentor’s LaMalfa at 4-6 p.m. on June 27, 2024. If you’re among first 500 people to register, you’ll get into Boomer Bash Rad ’80s, free of charge. Just act fast, because after the first 500 guests claim their free tickets, the admission fee will be $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

Just indicate how many tickets you need and fill out the form. Once you submit the completed form, you will get an email confirmation from Eventbrite of having received the free Bash tickets.
You can also prepurchase raffle tickets from this same page. Otherwise, you will need to bring cash on event day for silent auction raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes. One hundred perecent of raffle proceeds will go to our nonprofit partner that serves the 60-and-over population. Our nonprofit beneficiary will be the Lake County Council on Aging of Ohio, whose mission is to provide aging adults and their support systems with services and opportunities that enable them to achieve an optimal, self-defined quality of life.
This is sure to be a rad event for Northeast Ohio Boomer readers, advertisers and community supporters to enjoy this beautiful venue, visiting more than 50 vendors with a variety of products and services geared to the 50+ age demographic. Grab one of our signature cocktails (The Bitchin’ Boomer), nibble on complimentary food samples, and be transported back to the fun times of coin-operated PacMan machines, the advent of music videos on MTV, the mall food court as the cool place to hang out, and, of course, the iconic music and movies of the era.
