It’s fun to go out to eat. It’s even more fun when you get a great deal on your meal. Below are deals and discounts available to mature adults and seniors at restaurants throughout Greater Cleveland, Akron and Northeast Ohio.

If you’re 55 or older, it’s worth noting where you can dine out for less. Many require an AARP membership card, but not all.

Scroll to the bottom of this page for a county-by-county listing of regional restaurants that accept the Golden Buckeye card, which provides discounted products and services to Ohioans 60 and older and residents aged 18-59 with a disability. • Bonefish Grill
  You can find Bonefish Grill restaurants throughout Northeast Ohio, including Independence, North Canton and Westlake. Offering a menu that’s bit lighter and healthier than your average American fare, Bonefish Grill also offers gluten-free options.

This restaurant will accept your AARP card for 10% off your final bill, including food and non-alcoholic beverages. They’ll apply this 10% off at all locations if you choose to dine in, but you’ll have to call ahead of time and ask if you can still get the discount if you choose a curbside carryout order since that’s only available at select places. You can’t apply the discount to catering or delivery orders, so visit in person to get the deal.

• Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
  There is one Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. location in Northeast Ohio, located at The Great Lakes Mall in Mentor. This seafood restaurant has a menu inspired by the movie, Forrest Gump.

If you have an AARP membership, you can get a 10% discount on die-in food and non-alcoholic beverages, so when the check comes, give the server your AARP card along with your payment method.

• Carrabba’s Italian Grill
  If you’re hungry for Italian comfort food, head to Brooklyn, Canton or Westlake. Featuring a wood-burning grill, Carraba’s offers authentic Italian cuisine.

You can enjoy an AARP discount of 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages for dine-in orders. You may be able to take advantage of the discount for curbside carryout depending on the location — just call in advance.

• IHOP (International House of Pancakes)
  There are several IHOP restaurants to choose from throughout Northeast Ohio, including locations in Akron, Cleveland, Bedford, Macedonia, Massilon, Middleburg Heights and North Canton.

Featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner with pancakes served 24/7, IHOP has menu and price options for almost everyone.

You won’t find a specific membership discount when you go to IHOP; just a special menu  for people 55 years of age and older. For example, you can opt for the 55+ breakfast sampler, which will give you a whole plate of eggs, bacon and hash browns, in addition to a plate of pancakes. There are also more lunch- and dinner-focused options, like a BLT, a crispy shrimp meal, and crispy fish. Just let the server know you’re ordering off of the 55+ menu.

• Joe’s Crab Shack
  There is only one Joe’s Crab Shack location listed in Northeast Ohio, at 13000 Public Rd. in Cleveland.

This is another spot that honors AARP membership discounts. You’ll get 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages if you present your AARP card when paying your bill.

• Outback Steakhouse
  Outback Steakhouse has several locations in the region, including Akron, Boardman, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Independence, Acedonia, Mentor, Parma and Strongsville. This chain is famous for its Aussie-inspired steak, chicken, ribs, seafood and fun appetizers, including its Bloomin’ Onion.
  

If you’re an AARP member, you can  get 10% off your meal, with the exception of any alcoholic beverages you order. You can even use it for pickup orders; just make sure you select “pay at restaurant” online, then show your AARP card when you’re picking up your order.
