Not every picture is worth 1,000 words but these photos sure capture the fun energy at last month’s Boomer Bash Goes Country!
Photographer Angela Gartner (who is also the editor of Mitchell Media’s Northeast Ohio Parent magazine) allows her camera to tell the story: Nearly 500 cowboys and cowgirls attended this Boomer Bash West on April 18 at LaCentre in Westlake. After being greeted by enthusiastic, friendly volunteers, they visited 55 vendor tables, where representatives from businesses and services that cater to the 55+ population in Greater Cleveland educated foks about their organizations, offered free giveaways, and enjoyed friendly conversation.
Co-presented by Northeast Ohio Boomer and Spry Senior, this Boomer Bash also featured lots of food, drinks, dancing, and additional entertainment. A big draw is our silent auction with dozens of opportunities to win great prizes. Best of all, our non-profit partner Greater Cleveland Volunteers, received a donation of 100% of the raffle proceeds.
Greater Cleveland Volunteers, many vendors and event sponsors will rejoin us at upcoming Boomer Bashes yet to come in 2024. We hope you do, too!
Up next, we’ll have Boomer Bash Lake at 4-6 p.m. on June 27 with a Rad ’80s theme, to be held at
LaMalfa Party Center in Mentor. The final Bash of the year will be Boomer Bash East on October 10 with a
Margaritaville theme at Signature of Solon. Stay tuned for upcoming details.
