Ben Rose Offering Free Workshops on Hoarding, Homebuying and More

One of Greater Cleveland’s best assets for older adults and caregivers is Ben Rose, a nonprofit organization that promotes aging well. Here’s a list of upcoming workshops that range from hoarding to homebuying. Check out their website to learn more about their many services.

 

  • The More You Know: Hoarding: Benjamin Rose is hosting a series of FREE Q&A sessions titled “The More You Know: Hoarding” to provide valuable insights and information about hoarding disorder. Open to anyone seeking knowledge or assistance, these sessions will feature professionals who will explain the disorder and offer practical advice. Virtual sessions are June 12, July 10, and Aug. 28 from 12–1 p.m. An in-person session on July 10 from 5–6 p.m. will be held at Benjamin Rose Headquarters, 11890 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, 44120.   • Virtual Second Wednesday: Join a virtual meeting on June 12 from 9 – 10 a.m. to learn more about Benjamin Rose from President & CEO Orion Bell. Each month Ben Rose will provide an overview of the programs and services for older adults and caregivers, from mental health counseling to home-delivered meals.   • Homebuyer Education: Benjamin Rose’s FREE HUD-approved homebuyer education classes teach the important basics of home-buying.  Learn how to secure an affordable mortgage and buy the right house for you.   • PALS Project: Join Benjamin Rose in celebrating the launch of PALS, a new initiative aimed at assisting older adults and their beloved pets right in the comfort of their homes.  Volunteers offer support with pet care tasks and promote social interaction, companionship, and overall well-being. If you’re passionate about making a difference in your community and love animals, join PALs.
