Through his respect for both men from different sides of the political aisle, he taught me to find common ground with those I may disagree with, on whatever ideal unites us. In this case, it is liberty, the single principle America was founded upon. It is our duty to protect it, this Independence Day and always. ...

Boomer’s Spring 2021 Digital Magazine is Here!

Spring is here and so is our digital March/April issue of Northeast Ohio Boomer & Beyond magazine! On the cover we’ve got a major league couple: Mike and Sharon Hargrove who talk about life in and out of baseball and a year of living in a pandemic.

Also in this issue: second chances. We’ve rounded up experts for home decor, job hunting and dating who will inspire you to revamp, reboot and reclaim your life.

And as they say, that’s not all. Want to avoid internet cons? Never fear, our tech expert has practical advice on keeping the bad guys out of your online activities.

And in Northeast Ohio Grandparent section, we’ve got a story on grandparents being grand fans for their grandkids. That’s a lot of grands; we think the story is grand, too.

As always, you can get the latest copy online at NortheastOhioBoomer.com and at libraries, rec centers, professional offices, Marc’s, Giant Eagle, Discount Drug Marts and hundreds of other places throughout Northeast Ohio.

Enjoy!

Welcome to Boomer’s Jan/Feb 2021 Issue!

Here is our digital edition of the January/February issue of Northeast Ohio Boomer and Beyond, featuring our original wintry cover by local artist Virginia K. Phillips!

Beyond the joys of winter hiking, we cover a wide range of topics to enrich your journey to “Better Living After 50.” Read about two authors whose books are set in Northeast Ohio and learn why it’s such a rich setting for their popular fiction series.

Meanwhile, don’t let the cold weather and grey skies keep you cooped up indoors. We’ve got hundreds of trails and parks to explore; many hiking enthusiasts say winter is their favorite time of year.

When was the last time you had a good night’s sleep? Find helpful tips in our story about natural solutions to improve your Zzzs.

New grandparent? Not so fast. A lot has changed since we were raising our babies. We’ve got you covered with an overview about infant care, 2021-style.

How do you know if it’s time to consider alternative medicine? We break down what it is, what’s safe, and why integrative and complementary treatments are valuable tools that local physicians recommend for some of their patients.

We’ve only touched on a few stories in our jam-packed January/February issue. Look for it, and enjoy!

Print copies are coming to newsstands (Marc’s, Discount Drug Mart, Giant Eagle and others) soon. Of course, Boomer Insider Club members get our print issue mailed directly to their homes. But if you’re out and about, look for our next issue featuring winter hikes throughout Northeast Ohio.
