Cleveland Metroparks Trail Challenge: Get Ready to Explore

If you’ve wanted an excuse to explore Cleveland Metroparks’ lovely trails, then you’ll want to register for its 2025 Trail Challenge.

Complete 10 trails in 10 different Cleveland Metroparks reservations between now and June 30. You can complete these trails on your own or join any of the 16 staff-led Trail Challenge programs. Explore new trails, move to better health, discover the wonders of nature and earn a prize. And let’s face it, prizes are always fun.

PARTICIPATION
Complete 10 of the designated trails by any legal means (bike, hike, paddle, run, skate or walk) to receive this year’s Trail Challenge sticker and prize.

  • Sign up here.
  • Download the 2025 Trail Challenge Route Sheet(Opens in a new window) .
  • Complete at least 10 of the designated trails and earn a one-of-a-kind Trail Challenge sticker and prize.
  • Complete these trails on your own, or by attending a staff-led program.
  • Track your progress on paper by checking off your completed trails on the Route Sheet, or track it digitally in the Cleveland Metroparks App starting March 1.
  • When you have completed 10 of the designated trails, visit any of the five Nature Centers to collect your sticker and prize.  2025 Trail Challenge prizes are available June 7 – July 31 (while supplies last).

  • Prize redemption starts June 7 (National Trails Day) through July 31.

 

TRAIL TRACKING
Track your progress on paper by downloading the 2025 Trail Challenge Route Sheet(Opens in a new window) , or digitally in the Cleveland Metroparks App.

  • For paper tracking, download the 2025 Trail Challenge Route Sheet and simply check-off the trails that you’ve completed on the Route Sheet.
  • Download the Cleveland Metroparks App to track your trails digitally. Once logged in, click on the My Cleveland Metroparks icon to track your progress in the Trail Challenge Badge by checking-in at the trailhead for each route.
  • Online tracking for 2025 will end on June 30.

 

PRIZE REDEMPTION
2025 Trail Challenge prizes are available June 7 – July 31 (while supplies last).

To collect your prize, present your checked Route Sheet or show your mobile app check-ins to confirm that you completed 10 of the designated trails to one of the following locations between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., 7 days a week*:
