Join us for the opening reception of Alice McGinty’s solo exhibition, A New Way, on Sunday, November 24 from 1-3 PM. The show will then stay on display through December 23.
In 1985 Alice McGinty, BAYarts artist and supporter, received the diagnosis of Macular Degeneration. Eventually, she could not read or drive a car. Alice thought her days as a painter were over. Not so. With the gracious and loving help and devotion of BAYarts instructor Susan Gray Be, Alice found a way to keep painting. Susan partnered with Alice- discussing balancing each piece with color, texture, pattern and keeping colors vibrant. The result is this new and exciting body of work which also includes work by the devoted teacher.
