“The Trip of  a Lifetime”

Along with Boomer blogger Pat O’Connor, Bruce Schneider of Solon will share details of his amazing trip to Belgium to honor his uncle Captain George L. Batz Jr. who piloted a B24 shot down over Belgium in WWII. The commemoration included a plaque dedication to honor his uncle and the crew.

An incredible story about Schneider’s pursuit of the past was written by blogger Patrick J. O’Connor and featured on the Northeast Ohio Boomer website:  Once in a Lifetime (Part I ) and Once in a Lifetime (Part II).

The Tap Talk program with Schneider and O’Connor is set for Tuesday, Nov. 19 at North Water Brewing, 101 Crain Ave., Kent. Seating starts around 6:30 p.m., the program begins at 7 and the question-and-answer session is at 8 p.m.

Admission is courtesy of the Kent Historical Society.
