Linda Peavy, our Style Stop writer and creator of her popular blog, Cultured Curves, has been traveling the globe, spreading messages of body positivity, and was recently honored in Jamaica and in New York.
Linda traveled to Jamaica in October to host two size-inclusive mini-fashion shows 
that featured athleisurewear and swimsuit cover-ups. The fashion show featured the debut of designer Tuere Hardy El’s new line of athletic ensembles. Models wore private collection cover-ups that showcased designs from across the country.
Next, Linda traveled to New York, where she walked the red carpet as a nominee for Outstanding Blogger of the Year at the Full Figured Industry Awards. After a nationwide vote, Linda became a finalist for her blog, Cultured Curves: Sophisticated Style, Fashion, and Beauty for Curvy Women over 50.
Cultured Curves offers fashion advice, skincare tips, make-up videos, motivational messaging, and more to mature women. While Linda did not win, she was ecstatic to be there.
Linda says, “You hear people say this a lot, but to be nominated was truly an honor. The Full-Figured Industry Awards has created a celebratory space where people in this industry can gather and be recognized for their work and representation with the goal of being treated like everyone else.”
