The 2026 Mind Challenge region-wide trivia competition is in the books with the team from Willoughby Hills taking home the top prize of $2,500 for its senior center.
More than 800 older adults representing 75 cities throughout Northeast Ohio participated in the trivia competition throughout the spring.
The Mind Challenge, a free team trivia tournament for active older adults, is celebrating its eighth year. Its mission is to expand seniors’ minds and enhance their socialization. The trivia competition took place in four rounds of competition.
Runner-up Broadview Heights earned $ 1,500. Brooklyn Heights finished third and won $ 1,000 and Cleveland Heights. finished fourth and won $ 500. Stow finished fifth and earned a semi-finals trophy.
The semifinals and finals took place at The Independence Senior Center, which hosted this year’s closing competition.
