Shakespeare in a Park: Twelfth Night on a Summer Evening

Bring a blanket or a long-slung chair and head to a Cleveland park this summer for a free performance of Twelfth Night presented by the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival actors.

Twenty years ago, a group of Case Western Reserve University students noticed Northeast Ohio’s lack of Shakespeare in the Park, and so decided to do it themselves. Since those early days performing on the campus of Case, to today’s traveling Festival which plays in public spaces all over Northeast Ohio, CSF has performed for over 40,000 audience members.

Twelfth Night performances begin at 7 p.m. each evening from July 20-Aug. 5. The play is adapted and directed by Anne McEvoy. Here’s where to see it:

Friday, July 20: PEACE Park, Cleveland Hts
Saturday, July 21: Cahoon Park, Bay Village
Sunday, July 22: Grove Amphitheater, Mayfield Village
