Risky Business: Case Western Reserve Develops COVID-19 Online Risk Assessment Tool

It’s not you, it’s them.

That’s how it feels with social distancing compliance, doesn’t it? You may be wearing a mask and strictly adhering to the 6-foot rule, but it’s clear that a lot of people aren’t.

If you have to go out, what’s your risk of exposure to COVID-19? We’ve got an answer thanks to Case Western Reserve University which has introduced an interactive, online risk assessment program.

A team led by Yanfang (Fanny) Ye with Kenneth Loparo began working on the tool, which includes a mobile app, in March. Just type in an address or look at the map to determine your risk based on reported cases, population density and other factors.

You can access the mapping tool here: covid-19.yes-lab.org/

Go to thedaily.case.edu/mapping-the-covid-19-risk/ for an explanation of what the numbers mean.
