Using the classic Writings in Time of War, Facilitator Mike Reiling will explore Teilhard de Chardin’s understanding of mysticism, and how it can enrich our understanding of our own unifying with God. Teilhard wrote his early essays on mysticism not in a monastery but during the horrific trench warfare of WW1, where he was a stretcher-bearer for the French army. In this 4-week course on Zoom, we will explore some of Teilhard de Chardin’s powerful and insightful first writings and reflect on their meaning for our lives. This course will include short presentations, quiet times for reflection and prayer, and the sharing of insights.
