Apply Now for SNAP/Farmers Market Benefits

Appications are available online  now through May 22 for the Ohio Department of Aging’s Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which provides an extra $50 to buy farm market produce.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis, you can apply online on the Homegrown Benefits website. Because of federal budget cuts, the program will be limited this year. The application process ends at 6 p.m. on May 22.  The program is for adults 60 and older who are within 185 % of federal poverty guidelines.

Ohio Farmers Market Network has a directory and database of authorized vendors. At this link you will be able to search by zip code, farm, market name or filter by further options.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP): Applications for 2026 are open April 22 – May 22, 2026, for adults aged 60+ within 185% of federal poverty guidelines.
